This is just a small sampling of our work...there are many more projects, big and small, we have enjoyed working on
Though our design projects may be varied in scope and design needs, all of our projects are reflective of our love for design and our keen attention to design details, client needs, environment, location, history...and the search for fresh and innovative ways to explore and create a space unique to each client...

Island home transforms into mid-century modern beauty

In what can only be described as a complete transformation, we turned this ordinary 1950s ranch style home into a breathe-taking mid-century modern beauty overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

New staggered, linear architectural elements mixed with various original design features, such as wood ceilings and brick entry wall, infused this island home with fresh new energy embracing its magnificent location. LED lighting and natural sustainable finishes throughout work effortlessly with the light color palette, contrasting woods, and minimalist design.

*Spoiler Alert*  Coming soon we will be doing a Design Blog where we will show you the incredible before and after photos of this project!

Sarasota home embraces natural textures and neutral tones

This home enjoyed a complete redesign of the floor plan for entry, kitchen, dining, breakfast nook, living room and home office! Our new footprint did away with the small closed off rooms and provided a fresh, new, and open concept using a central hub, allowing the whole family to be together while enjoying different spaces and activities (TV, movies, games, cooking, eating, reading, or hanging by the pool)!

Subtle visual connections, warm neutral tones, and natural textures and finishes, seamlessly tied the spaces together with a new, updated and transitional aesthetic, while creating a truly peaceful and warm home for all to enjoy!

*Not just another pretty space...*  For this project we were hired by a local contractor to work with their client/homeowner to develop the complete conceptual and schematic design, as well as draw the plans to permit and build.

Though we were supposed to stop there, the clients were so pleased with our design, they hired us to complete the interiors - all the finish selections from paints to tiles, from counters to cabinets, from lighting to millwork details...Nothing beats that feeling of exceeding a clients expectations...and seeing a project through from early sketches and 3am ideas to a completed build with happy clients!

Historic1923 home gets a new coat of paint and a new life

This 1923 historic home overlooking Sarasota Bay and Longboat Key sat neglected for many years until it was recently restored to it original glory and featured as a designer showhouse so visitors could see the amazing restoration for themselves. This home saw many updates breathing new life into it by integrating modern design accents with original wood floors and timeless architectural features.

Our design was driven by this jewels long history and waterfront location, using soft seaside textures and a calm color palette to compliment and create a truly peaceful and inviting home.

Downtown waterfront condo gets a new look to live up to its location

This Sarasota condominium got a new look to compliment its breathtaking downtown waterfront location. Space planning and implementing a complete redesign of the first level common areas, Kimberly combined flowing organic lines with soothing horizontal lines to play off the very architectural modern lines of the building itself.

This project involved extensive remodeling of the entry, lobby, elevators, mail room, residents lounge, staff lounge, restrooms, information area, hallways, and exterior entryways, along with several custom interior pieces designed by Kimberly for the client.

.

*Shout Out*  A special thanks to JKL Design Group for the trust to design and carry out this project from start to finish! Kimberly worked for several years with JKL and they generously granted permission for this amazing project to be included in her design portfolio of fine projects.

Vacant jewelry store turns into showcase for Ringling College students

We love giving back to our community by working closely with our local design students.  A graduate herself of Ringling College of Art and Design (class of '07), Kimberly returns regularly to the Ringling classrooms to work one-on-one with the students on portfolios, interview skills, mentoring, and doing fun projects like this one!

In the RCAD/Westfield SurREEL project, Kimberly worked with Ringling students to transform a vacant jewelry store in a Sarasota mall into a showcase for some of the school’s best senior animation thesis projects, many by students who have gone on to work as animators for Hollywood powerhouses, like DreamWorks, Pixar, and Sony.

Neat fact: This project even caught the attention of our much loved, and internationally published, Interior Design Magazine with an online article on the SurREEL lounge!
